I read a poll once in Cosmo magazine that over 63% of men said the first thing they notice about a girl is their eyes. Whether or not you believe that statistic is totally bogus or true, it does not really matter because eyes are the first thing anyone will look at when they talk to you. It is proper etiquette to look at a person in the eye when you speak to them.
Mary Kay offers great color ideas to make any eye color and shape POP!
It is always good to pick a light color as your base color, a shimmery/darker shade to streak across the crease of your eye, and a dark color to use as the edge crease. Next week I will be sharing some pictures of a customer make over, and give step by step instructions on application.
Until then check out the awesome eye shades from Mary Kay.

Yes Men! Skin care is for you too...
My whole life, I always thought only women really care about their wrinkles and taking care of their skin, but believe it or not many men are self conscious of skin problems as well.
A good friend of mine, which I will not name to protect his masculinity, started to get bad acne when we were in high school. He asked me what kind of products he should use to get rid of drudgy zits and I told him that I had always used Mary Kay.
I had some extra acne products for him to try out. He used the Blemish Control Toner and Acne Treatment Gel for two months, and after using them every night before bed everyone started to notice a huge difference. When some of his buddies asked him about what he was doing to help his acne, of course he lied and told his buddies, he was on medicine to clear it up. He did not want to admit to using skin care products.
He used the classic skin care line to clear up his acne, but Mary Kay has recently released the Mary Kay Men's Line of skin care products. They are not something to be ashamed about either, because these products are GREAT! There are face bars for the shower, and shave foam and cooling gel, for every man that has to shave day in and day out. Mary Kay also has men's sunscreen, because everyone, no matter what gender, should be protected in the sunshine. There are also a handful of great smelling men's fragrances and body spray.

So why Mary Kay?
Many people think I am bias when it comes to Mary Kay cosmetics, but in all honesty I have given all beauty cosmetics a try. I will be the first one to admit that I do not use all Mary Kay products. I actually use some makeup products from Napoleon Perdis. I bought the makeup when I was in Australia, and I fell in love with some of their products. My favorite from Napoleon Perdis would be the pre-foundation primer and their blush patrol.
When it comes to skin care though, I only use Mary Kay products. Many doctors suggest that if you are going to use skin care products, you should use all of the same brand of product.
Whenever I get an acne breakout I turn to my acne treatment gel and I cannot remove my eye makeup without my oil free eye makeup remover.
Many people have the preconceived conception that Mary Kay makeup is very expensive. For the quality you get it is 100% worth it, and the products last for a long time. I have had the same mineral powder foundation for over a year and there is still plenty.
